Small by Choice: Why a Smaller Wedding Isn’t a Compromise
Many people assume that having a small wedding means you don't have the budget for a larger one or that you have to compromise on style, luxury, or meaning. But that isn't necessarily the case. About The Petite Pieris

Hi, I’m Rema Merrick — St. Pete local and small-wedding enthusiast.

My husband and I celebrated with 40 of our closest family and friends at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg, Florida. We blended our Jamaican and Persian cultures, focused on the details that mattered most to us, and created a day that felt deeply personal.

That experience inspired The Petite Pieris — a planning and inspiration space for couples who believe a smaller wedding can be just as beautiful, meaningful, and memorable as a larger one.

Here you’ll find thoughtful ideas for creating a celebration that feels like you: the traditions you love, the details that matter, and a little room for the unexpected — including plant-forward menus, zero-proof celebrations, unique venues, and personal touches.

Because small doesn’t have to mean less.

Small by choice, spectacular by design.
